Position:  Monitoring & Reporting Coordinator
Salary : Taka 50,790/= per month with other regular benefits (if applicable).

Concern Worldwide is an international humanitarian organisation dedicated to elimination of extreme poverty. We are implementing a process of obtaining approval from donor for a project to assist those affected by the recent Floods and Water Logging situation in Jessore which will be implementing through consortium for the duration up to December 2012. Currently, we have opening for the following position:

Monitoring & Reporting Coordinator
The M&R Coordinator is responsible for the overall monitoring and reporting of the NARRI Associates response to the Flood and Water Logging Emergency Response Project. To ensure the monitoring and reporting systems for this project, capturing the impact, outcomes, outputs and activities of the NARRI Associates response with people affected by the floods and water logging, and to ensure that support is given to the NARRI Associates on M&R tools, processes and, best practices to ensure greater impact of the NARRI Associates response.

Major Areas of Responsibility:


  • To ensure the development and use of a comprehensive monitoring plan for the above mentioned NARRI Associates project, which captures the projects' impact to those affected by the floods and water logging.
  • To support all NARRI Associates members on the M&E tools, processes, and best practices to capture the impact of this project.
  • To ensure high quality data, information and knowledge is captured and analysed effectively.
  • As a member of the RRRU and NARRI Associates, work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure excellence within Concern's and NARRI Associates' work is captured, promoted and disseminated.
  •  To support the Monitoring Officer in a manner for high quality delivery and to ensure effective learning within Concern and NARRI Associates.
  • Contribute to the process of implementing quality programmes by ensure that the HAP standard of accountability is conceptualized and effectively implemented throughout NARRI Associates.

Key Requirements:
  • Masters degree in social science or development studies, preference will be given to those whose specialization is in monitoring and reporting;
  • At least 4 years progressively responsible professional work experience at in the area of Monitoring and Reporting , within a development organisation/NGO;
  • Solid understanding of poverty situation and impacts of disasters in Bangladesh ;
  • Experience in working in a project with multiple partners (government, CSO, NGOs);
  • Previous experience of working in a Consortium would be an added advantage;
  • Experience in working on emergency and rehabilitation projects, previous experience in at least 3 emergency responses would be an added advantage;
  • Experience of training, liaison and networking and working with partner NGOs
