Position: Project Officer
Starting Salary for this position: Taka 24,336 per month with other regular benefits (negotiable for highly competent candidates)

Concern Worldwide is an international humanitarian organisation dedicated to elimination of extreme poverty. We are implementing a project tilted Maternal, Neonatal and Child Survival (MNCS) project under Haor Programme. This project is being implemented in the Sunamganj district for the duration up to December 2011 with possibility of further extension. Currently, we have opening for the following position:

Project Officer:
The Project Officer is responsible for ensuring implementation of project activities assigned partner within the Maternal, Neonatal and Child Survival (MNCS) project, which impact on the lives of the project beneficiaries and results in sustainable positive changes.

Major Areas of Responsibility:

  • Ensure the MNCS project activities are implemented with maximum efficiency and professionalism that would bring a positive change in the lives of the beneficiaries of MNCS project, through providing constant support to the assigned partner.
  • Arrange necessary resources for the project and utilise them efficiently for implementation of high quality project activities which helps bring positive change in the life of beneficiaries.
  • Provide high quality and effective support to staff of the project/beneficiaries/partners as a member of the MNCS team.
  • Contribute to the process of implementing quality programmes and ensure that HAP standards of accountability is conceptualized and effectively implemented across all level of project interventions.

 Key Requirements:


  • Masters Degree in Social Science with Community health related experiences;
  • At least 2 years progressively responsible professional work experience in participatory health programme planning, management, monitoring, and evaluation, within a development organisation/NGO;
  • Technical Knowledge on Community Based Health Programme would be an advantage ;
  • Experience in managing and working with District, Upazila Health & FP Department, partner NGOs and Local Government institution particularly in Health system;
