Oxfam is looking for a Research Officer

Oxfam is looking for dynamic team player for its REE-CALL [Resilience through Economic Empowerment, Climate Adaptation, Leadership and Learning] Programme under Bangladesh Programme. This is 02 years fixed term positions of the Country Programme.

Position: Research Officer

Location: Based in Patuakhali
Roles & Responsibilities:

You will be responsible to contribute fully in the all the research initiatives linked with the programme through collecting data/information regularly, reviewing/analyses and prepare report, draw learning. Identify best practices as per requirements of donor and other stakeholders. You will also need to work closely with partner, government stakeholder and different networks and alliances. Providing high quality technical support to project partners to develop the human resources as per the programme requirements and ensure performance management would include in your job responsibility.

Qualification, competencies & skill required:

You need to have post graduation on relevant discipline with practical experience working on research project related to livelihood, Income Generation, Disaster Risk Reduction, Climate Adaptation and Rights and Entitlements. The candidate must be competent to implement the different research tools and methodology linked with qualitative and quantitative date collection process. You must also possess sound and demonstrated technical knowledge and analytical skill on gender and diversity. Proven ability to work with alliances and engage in institutional relationships is desirable. Good understanding of principles of effective planning & interpersonal communication and influencing skills will be an asset. The candidate must have excellent communication and facilitation skills and understanding of gender and HIV/AIDs issues.
