Position: National Program Manager

The Position:
The National Program Manager is a member of the Senior Management Team (SMT) of HFHI-B and responsible for developing, implementing HFHI-B’s overall program strategic and operational plans that reflects Habitat's principles and core values. S/he will also responsible to provide effective and inspiring leadership, direction, motivation as well as stewardship to the program staffs at all levels of the organization and building a fully-capable program team. Responsible for preparing and submitting an annual program plan and budget, manage effectively, and report accurately.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Plays a key role in planning and direction of HFHI-B and participates in overall organizational strategic and operational planning process;
- Responsible to maintain, develop, implement and update HFHI-B’s program policies, procedures and guidelines in coordination with National Director;
- Responsible to develop annual Program Plan, goals and objectives and take lead to achieve them accordingly;
- Responsible for preparing and submitting an annual program budget and manage effectively within this budget, and report accurately;
- Responsible to develop and update HFHI-B’s partnership policies and take lead in developing partnerships with other organization;
- Provide effective and inspiring leadership, direction, motivation as well as stewardship to the program staffs at all levels of the organization and building a fully-capable program team;
- Ensure that HFHI-B’s products and services are affordable to the target beneficiaries while continually striving to serve even lower income families
- Provide ongoing support to the National Director in developing decent housing solution in the context of Bangladesh
Requirements:
- The ideal person should have Master degree in preferably in Business Administration/ Economics/ Social Science/ Statistics/ Geography/ Engineering with 8-10 years working experience in leading position of program implementation, preferably with a Development Organization, working with low income people;
- Fundamental understanding of low cost housing techniques;
- Experience in developing short and long term projects and ensure project management cycle;
- Should be capable of leading and managing a wide range of team;
- Should have sound knowledge in strategic decision making;
- Good command on Planning, Budgeting, implementing, monitoring and evaluation
- Advance skills in MS Office software;
- Bilingual; able to speak and write both English & Bengali;
- Capacity to handle multi tasks & prioritize job responsibilities;
