Position: Proposal and Report Writer

Job Description/Responsibilities:

  • The Proposal and Report Writer writes grant proposals, reports to donors and other organisational reports. This position also provides technical writing support to the organisation.
  • Support and/or lead the writing, editing, formatting and proofreading of technical proposal and concept notes to solicited and unsolicited opportunities from the government, donor organizations and foundations. 
  • Research and gather information on country situation and become familiar with the requirements and guidelines of various funders. 
  • Coordinate and follow up with various departments and country programmes to gather technical inputs and prepare clear written outputs for use in concept notes, proposals, reports and presentations. 
  • Support budget preparation for concept notes and other reports. 
  • Write, proofread and finalize support documents for proposals including budgets, log frames, Gantt charts and organogram etc. 
  • Provide detailed and strategic analysis of solicitations, instructions and other proposal related information and ensure proposals are in line with donor guidelines and international standards. 
  • Provide technical writing support to other members of the program team. 
  • Write reports for website, newsletter, meetings and annual report. 
  • Other related assignments as necessary.
Educational Requirements:
  • Post graduate degree related to Social Science, International Relations or Development studies from any reputed University/Institute with no third class/ division/ below CGPA 2.00.
Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years work experience in proposal and report writing in a humanitarian assistance or international development context.
Additional Job Requirements:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills. 
  • Sufficient knowledge regarding how programme operates. 
  • Ability to adapt to a humanitarian assistance context. 
  • Strong ability to organise, summarize and analyze information. 
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
Age Range:
  • Maximum 40 years.
Salary Range:
  • Negotiable.
