Program Director (PD),Deputy Manager; Save the Children

Program Director (PD) - PROTEEVA (1 position based in Dhaka with frequent field visit)

This education leadership position will be responsible for managing one of Save the Children’s 5 year education programs funded by USAID, focused on supporting preschool and primary education across seven divisions of the country.  Major responsibilities include strategy formulation and technical leadership, planning, financial oversight, team leadership and staff management, ensuring technical support and capacity building for Implementing Partners, assuring program quality through continuous monitoring and donor and headquarters reporting. This person will work closely with USAID, Save the Children-Bangladesh Country Office and Headquarters, representative of Government of Bangladesh and local and international partners.

Requirements
: Masters degree in social science or education with demonstrated technical expertise in Early Childhood Development and/or Primary Education. Minimum 12 years experience managing multi-partner development programs, experience in institutional strengthening, demonstrated skills in strategic and operational program planning and management, strong skills in team leadership and staff management, excellent oral and written communication skills in English are essential requirements.

Deputy Manager - Field Operations, Nobo Jibon (1 position based in Barisal)


Nobo Jibon is a USAID-funded food security program providing innovative assistance in health, nutrition, livelihoods and disaster risk reduction to poor and vulnerable households in Barisal. The Deputy Manager plays a crucial role in providing leadership and coordination during implementation of program activities. Major responsibilities includes: assuring integration and coordination amongst technical sectors, operational support to staff, resource mobilization and allocation, coordination with implementing partners, representation and liaison with GoB and other institutional stakeholders, monitoring commodity management and coordination with Nobo Jibon management in other districts and central level. The incumbent will contribute to work planning and assist in preparation and monitoring of operations budget. S/he will support M&E and MIS teams in data management and reporting and will help ensure the proper handling and storage of commodities. Finally, the incumbent will be involved with disaster response as and when required.

Requirements: Masters degree in Social Science or related field. At least 6 years of working experience in relevant field of which 3 years in managerial/supervisory position. Hands on experience in managing resources of any large program and partnership program. Excellent coordination and process facilitation skills. Should have rapid assessment, situational analysis and decision making skills. Good skills on reporting, documentation and presentation in English. Willing to drive motorcycle in the field. Should have computer operation skill in MS Word, Excel, Power Point.
