Chief of Party, multiple Agriculture and Market Linkages Specialists, a M&E Specialist, and a Finance/Accounting Manager:ACDI/VOCA

ACDI/VOCA currently has approximately 90 projects in 40 countries and revenues of $140 million.
 
We are currently seeking a Chief of Party, multiple Agriculture and Market Linkages Specialists, a M&E Specialist, and a Finance/Accounting Manager for a large, multi-year agricultural development project in Bangladesh that will focus on targeted crops. The project’s primary focus will be to increase agricultural productivity and marketability of selected value chains. To achieve this objective, technical components could also focus on improved farming techniques and best practices; farm management; increasing market linkages and competitiveness; trade facilitation and regulatory and policy reform; and other activities that promote increased food security. Desired areas of specialization include agronomy; producer-organization strengthening; agricultural marketing and trade; business development and financial services for the agriculture sector; storage and warehouse receipt systems; monitoring and evaluation; and communication. Experience working with smallholder farmers to increase their technical and management skills and create sustainable market linkages is preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS

Chief of Party: M.S., M.B.A., or other post-graduate degree in a relevant technical field. Minimum of 15 years of relevant and progressive work experience in Bangladesh or other regions of Southeast Asia with a similar development context. At least 10 years of progressively responsible supervisory work experience, preferably on large and complex USAID-funded contracts required. Excellent communication and reporting skills. Experience in Bangladesh preferred, regional Southeast Asia experience required.  Fluency in English required.

Agriculture and Market Linkages Specialists: Minimum 5–10 years of experience in one or more technical disciplines relevant to the above. University degree in agronomy, agricultural economics, business management or other relevant field (advanced degree is preferred). Experience working with international and/or regional NGOs, donor agencies, Ministries of Agriculture and/or private sector actors (buyers, agribusinesses and financial institutions) is preferred. Excellent written and spoken English is required. Fluency in Bangla is required. Experience in Bangladesh required.

Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist:10+ years of professional experience in international development and developing, implementing and managing M&E systems on similar projects. Advanced degree in sociology, statistics, international relations or other relevant field preferred. Proven experience and skills in quantitative and qualitative research methods, survey design and implementation, statistical data analysis in agricultural context required. Experience with USAID-funded projects is preferred. Good written and spoken English required. Fluency in Bangla is required. Experience in Bangladesh required.

Finance/Accounting Manager:
Master’s degree in accounting preferred; Bachelor’s degree required. Demonstrated knowledge and skills in accounting, financial management and procurement systems is required. Demonstrated knowledge and extensive experience with USAID contracts regulations and management and control systems. 10+ years of experience in accounting on complex development projects; experience in working with projects that have grants under contracts mechanisms is required. Experience in Bangladesh preferred, regional Southeast Asia experience required. Demonstrated experience in accounting for complex projects with a a large value. Fluency in English, written and spoken, Bangla language skills preferred.
